I’ve been using Twitter since 2009 and over the years I have been exploring many management tools including Hootsuite and Tweetdeck. I have used them both when I’ve wanted to schedule tweets when I’m on holiday or before or during a conference, which I see more and more of, especially at large conferences such as the Association for Learning Technology (ALT). I have not used Lists or Analytics on Twitter, mainly due to time. There’s been so many changes to Twitter in recent years as the company tries to keep up with Facebook and other social media platforms. There’s a lot of statistics that Twitter collects that could be useful to better market the tweets I make. It would be even more important if I was running a business or company account. However, despite these statistics, I’m not sure what these statistics means for the average user. Better reminders and highlights of this should be made by Twitter to make it more useful for the average user, as other social media platforms do.
